Florida - Miami -
Art District -
The Wynwood

The Art District is closed to downtown Miami

Stop at the NW 20th Street and the NW 2nd Avenue, then walk north on NW 2nd Avenue.  You will find amazingly painted buildings, great design stores, art stores, and exhibitions were all over the place.

You will be impressed by the artistic feeling of the area.

Enter "The Wynwood wall" gallery, with multiple painted walls, some of them are getting painted live as you walked by.

You will be amazed by the ingenuity of these paintings and how the spray graffiti paint did become an artistic magnet for this area and Miami in general.

The whole graffiti arts began 15-20 years ago when a local developer decided to rehabilitate that area of Miami. He ended up owning a few dozen buildings and they were converted into galleries, restaurants, and bars, but most of them had their exterior painted. We were also told by a local gallerist that some galleries are moving out because of high rent prices in the last years.

An amazing store, WallGrace Vintage, was selling guitars combined with oldtimers.

Florida - Miami -
Design District

The Design District is known for its sleek modern architecture, upscale interior design stores, and art galleries. Luxury fashion and jewelry boutiques, cafes and celebrity-chef restaurants draw a well-heeled crowd. Public art dotting the area includes the Fly’s Eye Dome, a geodesic dome designed by inventor Buckminster (Wikipedia)

Visit only outside the  Garage Museum. This was actually a real 7 stories garage. The owner of the building decided to make a Miami landmark from a normally ugly garage and commissioned the facade to a few renowned architects, without telling what will be the building used for. Last year the work has been completed and each facade has fantastic work, then he called the place Museum garage, an outdoor design facade museum.

Closed by were futuristic design malls that were full of design starting with the building itself, interior gardens with plants growing in stone boulders, spotless and expensive art galleries with amazing pieces, top worldwide design clothes, and accessories stores each decorated very unique.
